Public Military Exercise - Royal Armoured Corps 80th Anniversary
Councillors heard from a member of the Royal Armoured Corps, Catterick, that an armoured vehicle would be present on The Green in Reeth on Thursday 4 April 2019 from 7.00am to approx 12.00 noon, as part of a public military exercise to celebrate its 80th anniversary. The police had already been informed. The tank would be brought to Reeth on a low-loader, and the most appropriate position for the vehicle on the Green was discussed and agreed.

Speed restrictions at School Hill: Councillors were still waiting to hear from PC Smith. This would be followed up. [Action: AM]
Fremington School verge surface: Councillors were awaiting information from Cllr. Blackie.
Alterations to the register of electors from RDC, March 2019: noted. No further action taken;
Best Kept Village Competition 2019: it was agreed that Reeth, Fremington and Healaugh would be individually entered [Action:SD];
Burgoyne: a request for more than one publicity sign on The Green had been received, and The Burgoyne had been advised to contact the Chair;
A letter from The Bridge, a charity in Catterick Garrison offering services for older people: noted. No further action taken;
Police report for March 2019: noted. No further action taken;
Northern Power Grid electricity network proposals to replace a section of overhead network conductors with underground cables. Consultations would take place in due course with local landowners: noted. No further action taken;
Came & Co. Local Council Insurance pre-renewal notice for payment due on 1 June: noted [Action: SD]; Friends of the Dales: Sponsors wanted for the Northern Dales tourist bus service emailed to Councillors 04.01.2019. No further action taken.
Frog House Parking: a response had been received from the owner of Frog House, explaining a historic and tacit agreement between neighbours about parking arrangements, and agreeing to remove the sign. It was agreed that Cllr. Meffen would report when the sign had been removed [Action: AM];
Notice of elections: It was noted that posters informing the public of Parish and District elections had been placed on the notice board and nomination packs were available from the clerk.

The street light in Back Lane had been repaired;
Street lights in the area were turning off at midnight, despite a request from the Parish Council to the contrary for safety reasons as the areas affected were isolated and extremely dark without street lighting. RDC would be contacted as asked why the lights were being turned off. [Action:SD]
Market Report and Honesty Boxes
No market report. Since the last meeting £242 had been received from the market and £840 had been collected from the honesty boxes.
R/07/309/C Long Barn, Fremington Hall, Fremington: approved conditionally;
R/07/343A Barn off Silver Street, Reeth: consultation on amended plans. Councillors considered the amended plans. There were no objections.
A blocked drain on Healaugh Road had been reported by several members of the public as well as by councillors and was listed online by RDC as having been fixed, although recent photos suggested otherwise. Highways would be contacted for clarification and information on when the drain would be attended to. [Action: SD]
