How to help
Thanks to the amazing generosity of local people and businesses, at the moment there is no need for further donations of food, clothing or cleaning materials.
If you would like to help financially there are several different ways of doing this, including:
Nichola Rowland-Hill has set up a GoFundMe page - click here for details.
Donations may also be made through the Memorial Hall, email us for details.
The funds above will be channelled through the Two Ridings Community Foundation (see centre column), with the stipulation that they are used specifically in Swaledale and Arkengarthdale.
Ard Rock are also running a GoFundMe page, click here.
The Upper Dales Flood Relief Fund to provide short-term help to people hit by the flooding has been set up in memory of the late Coun John Blackie.
Donations can be left at Hawes Community Office, or for further information email Stuart Parsons or call 01748-823456.
Richmond Motor Club have pledged £7,500 from club funds to local charitable organisations to help those affected by the devastating flooding and to Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team, whose rescue services at the height of the floods and ongoing support has proved invaluable to the community. They are calling on members of the club and other Motor Clubs, who gain so much enjoyment from this area, to help raise this donation to £10,000. RMC are running a Just Giving page to raise money to help the local community hit by the floods and Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team - click here to contribute.
See the right hand column for details of fund raising events and appeals including an auction of promises and star prize raffle.
